Wrist Cuff/
/What causes blood pressure fluctuates many times during the day of "high" a relatively "normal"?

Am 74 years old, slightly overweight, not smoking or drinking, eating very healthily, getting enough sleep, rest, take any medications, I'm always busy reading, studying, etc. I know I have the "white coat syndrome" because my blood pressure is 180/95 + in the doctor's office, so I was a machine Portable blood pressure which has a pressure cuff and take me eight or ten times a day. It can be anywhere from 185/95 to 132/75 and is never ever constant. I've tried breathing exercises that seem useful. I do not want to take any medication. I tried to go off caffeine and salt for a couple of weeks but no matter — still fluctuates. The rest I would consider myself very healthy.

First, do not take blood pressure many times a day. What you'll stress yourself about it. In the doctor's office, as you know, it is natural to have your blood pressure rises. Many doctors even tell them following. It is good that you have the machine for home, but try to be limited to 2 times daily (morning and afternoon). As they say, when weighed, try it at the same time every day. Your activity level may have something to do with the fluctuation well. Breathing exercises are good, regardless of BP issues. trying to cut caffeine and salt are also good. You can try to get a little more active. Read and study all the time are great, but you have to do some exercise more.
