Flower Pendant/
/question with flowers and medals Catholic saint?

My grandmother gave me some medals of their time. Most of them have a flower on them. At first I thought it was nice for decoration, but I wonder if there is a spiritual symbol to her? I do not know what kind of flower or a rose, which have a center of circle and petals. It can also help me identify the name of a medal? It is a pendant of a pin. You then flower in the picture is of a holy woman who appears wearing nun's veil. Writing that is difficult to read but this is what I can do without: "S. Franc XAV hand" Thanks for helping with these questions.

I think flowers are purely ornamental. I have not been able to find anywhere that explains why there is a flower in the back of some of them. St. Frances Xavier VIRGIN Cabrini, founder-1850-1917 Fiesta: November 13 as a saint of our times and as the first U.S. citizen to be elevated to sainthood, Mother Cabrini has a double affirmation of our interest. Founder of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart and pioneer worker for the welfare of the scattering of Italian nationality, this diminutive nun was responsible for the creation of nearly seventy orphanages, schools and hospitals, spread across eight countries in Europe, North, South and Central America. Still living are the students, colleagues and friends who vividly remember Mother Cabrini, his spirit continues to inspire the nuns who have received their training in their hands. Since registration remains fresh in memory, and as the holy writings, and newspapers have been carefully preserved, we have information about its true, especially of the formative years, we have with respect to any other saint.
