Cookin 'is what I enjoy doing and the people around me is not complainin. Therefore, if you want to learn to cook some of the best fried chicken ever put your lips around, you've come to the right place.

Here is Mama's Best Fried Chicken Recipe

1 Fryer whole, chopped

2 cups buttermilk

1 egg

2 tablespoons Texas Pete Hot Sauce (this does not add heat to the chicken, just the taste, the heat will cook out)

1 cup self-rising flour

Salt 1 / 4 teaspoon

Pepper 1 / 4 teaspoon

1 / 2 teaspoon onion powder

1 / powder 2 tsp garlic

1 / 2 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Paprika 1 / 2 teaspoon

1 quarter-size Ziploc freezer bag

Peanut oil for fying

Place chicken in a glass pan with the buttermilk, turning to cover all sides. Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator overnight.

Heat peanut oil to 350 degrees F.

* If you are using an electric fryer, follow the manufacturer's instructions.

* Using a fried chicken to Dutch oven cooking, filling about 2 / 3 full of peanut oil.

* If the pan you will need a cast iron skillet (recommended) with an inch of oil.

In a bowl, mix the egg and hot sauce to one side.

In Ziplock plastic bag, combine flour, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning for birds and paprika.

Place chicken in a colander to drain off whey. Let stand for about 15-20 more to warm to room temperature.

Roll the chicken in the egg mixture all over from the dark meat first. Shake off the excess egg and fall into the ziplock bag with the flour mixture and stir (not more 2-3 pieces at a time) to cover well. Leave the dish for a few minutes so that the flour can stick to the chicken.

Slowly release the chicken in oil from dark meat. Do not get in too big of a hurry or you lower the oil temperature too quickly and the chicken will absorb the oil and fat (not a good thing). If the pan you need to turn the chicken a few times by what Brown evenly. Cook until it is golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
