/Titanium or stainless steel earrings – which is better for sensitive ears?

I can not wear any earrings containing nickel. Also get swelling and redness of the pound silver and 14k gold … So I will try titanium or stainless steel. Anyone have any information as to what could be the best to go? Or if you know of any better option, please let me know. Thanks!

surgical steel (stainless steel is made of cutlery, non piercing jewelry) contains nickel, but only minutes free quantities of the same and does not usually bother people with allergies to nickel unless you're very, very sensitive. Titanium is nickel at all and should be quite good for you – the plus sign with titanium is that it comes in different colors too. It's a bit more expensive than surgical steel, but usually not both. Sterling silver is more or less a scrap metal and should not be used for piercing jewelry. Contains nickel oxidizes and, turning black, which also irritate the skin. Gold also contains a large amount of other metals because pure gold is too soft to be of some use making jewelery.
