Red Agate/
/I found a rock with a fossil in it in Kentucky?

I found a rock about 4-5 inches in circumference and is composed of several small shell fossils and a large shell (the size of a quarter) in the mountains of Kentucky. The rock also seems to have some red agate too. Does this make any monetary value, as would be rare to find a fossil of a shell here anyway. This is a regular shell footprint – however Kentucky is far from any ocean.

Not worth anything but fossil collecting is a fun hobby. The area where the fossil was found once in the ocean about 300 million years. I am posting a link to some interesting sites. http://www.uky.edu/KGS/fossils/ brachs.htm http://www.uky.edu/KGS/geoky/
