Simply knowing what foods to eat, those that would ensure your body receives the nutrients it needs, is not sufficient to achieve a fit and healthy body. Glycogen provides the energy that a person needs to perform these activities. Without glucose, a person may feel tired and breathless. Some addicts diet believe that the "fat sweat" in his body, but in reality, the sweat of glycogen and then fat.

While carbohydrates exercises are important for fast, fats are in fact needed by the body resistance exercises of long duration such as cycling or running marathons. A person healthy do not really have zero fat in your body fat and have in fact used as a source of energy during your workout. Without fat, the body tends to use the stored energy in proteins. This is not ideal because the body needs protein to repair those muscles instead.

Vitamins and minerals, although not energy producers, are important for health functions. They provide calcium for strong bones, iron helps transport oxygen through of the body, and some minerals such as potassium helps in regulating body water during rigorous workouts.

Knowledge of nutrition in relation with fitness is important to determine what specific foods to eat or drink before you deal with your exercise routine. About 3-6 hours before exercise, it is advisable that you eat a healthy meal altogether. Just hours before actually exercising, you should consume food that is rich in carbohydrates, or better yet, the complex carbohydrates. These foods can provide a large amount of carbohydrates that can provide more energy for their activities. Never, never forget to drink water before, during and after exercise. Sweating causes the body water evaporates. An individual must replace the fluid lost to time to prevent dehydration.

Keep in mind that exercise too little or too much can be bad. Be specific with your exercise regime, make sure it fits into the kind of lifestyle you lead. If you are tired of working all day, try doing exercises that are not as intense as short jog. Always eat a balanced diet, then all, is the other half of fitness nutrition. Never skip meals to ensure that your body is well nourished and drinking lots of water and liquids. This ensures that the body stays in top form, even if you're working out.
