/With the economy scaring the heck out of everyone, let’s jump on the saving-money-is-cool bandwagon. Gone are the days where you can flippantly spend your cash on DVD players and the coolest new gadget. People aren’t buying like they used to.

/Years ago, before PDA’s, Bluetooth, and Ipods, we gave gifts of meaning, not monetary value. In this day’s economy we are finding the need to revert back to that way of gift giving. How many garage sales have I had where gifts I have received end up going out on a table for pennies on the dollar?

/I’ll never forget the first time I attempted chocolate truffles. I finally felt brave enough to try it after a chocolatier told me how easy they are to make! I’ll never forget the look on my husbands face when he opened the package! He said “You MADE this??” He wondered if I had bought them at the local candy shop. I made them myself and it only cost me about 25 cents per truffle!
