The Swiss Army Knife is a hand tool with a multitude of functions. This knife sports an array of different tools, and a road. They are known for having screwdrivers, opener, scissors and more each stored in its own compartment in the handle of the knife. They are exposed through a pivot point action. Mango is usually red with a white cross (the emblem of Switzerland). The current model used by the Swiss Army has a silver aluminum handle.

This knife is synonymous of the blade. It is often descriptive, with a kind of tool, a software tool that is a family of special purpose tools.

There are several types and styles of Swiss Army knives each with its own merge tool for a specific purpose tasks. Swiss Army Knife has an area of iron and a red emblem adorns a plate, a juicer, a stripper and can-opener/screwdriver bottle-opener/screwdriver/wire one.

The simplest model sold includes a single blade. The most popular models usually include a combination of tools included in the model army officer, a second blade, tweezers, toothpick teeth, corkscrew, screwdriver, nail file and scissors. Others include a saw, hook, magnifying glass, and the pen, pen, fish scaler also functions as a ruler, pliers / wire cutters and a key ring. The latest features include USB flash storage, digital clock, digital altimeter, LED pointer, laser, and an MP3 player. Hurray!

A brass spacer on the official form allows Army knife with screwdriver and strawberry spread at the same time, used to join the Swiss Army assault rifles (SIG 550 and SIG 510).

A standard full-size SAK is approximately 3.5in long and 75 wide, smaller models are usually long and 0.5 2.25in wide. Thickness varies with the number of tools included. A flat version with somewhat fewer tools (but still holding a knife) the size and shape of a credit card known as the Swiss Card, you can store in a normal folder. Although more common SAKS red, black, blue, yellow, white, phosphorescent, camouflage patterns, and other colors are available. The coating Plastic is usually opaque, but may be transparent, metal and wood clad models are available.

Founded in 1884, since 1891 the company has delivered to the Swiss army knives. The famous emblem, a cross on a shield, has been used by Victorinox since 1909. That year, the mother of founder Karl Elsener died on name Company changed to "Victoria" in his honor. In 1921, with the introduction of "inox" (the French term for stainless steel) in their products, brand and company name became the present Victorinox.

In 2005 Victorinox acquired Wenger, the official supplier to the Army Knife Switzerland. Victorinox intends to keep both brands intact.
Swiss knives are widely used outside the military. Multifunctional instruments are useful for daily life and are available in a wide variety of sizes and functional combinations. Even NASA astronauts have a Victorinox knife as standard equipment. Victorinox knives have also been taken to Mt. Everest and the Arctic. The flagship model of Victorinox, the Swiss Camp is in the New York Museum Collection permanent design of modern art.
