/How do I take care of plants with purple flowers, heart shaped leaves?

I transplanted this plant in a small pot (yes, with the roots intact). Not sure what plant it is, but has purple / violet colored flowers with heart shaped green leaves. I put in soil and water, but quickly fade. What should I do?

Repotting plants can make a bit of trauma. Are you sitting in the sun? I suggest you move it in partial shade, like under a tree or something until it starts to warm up. Keep it moist but not drowning, over watering will kill it. If leaves do not recover, cut spent flowers and outputs so that the plant can make an increasing effort in the new instead of trying to keep the old alive. I think it is often best to return to the pot in the late afternoon when it's cooler and has a chance to recover overnight.
