Omega has been internationally known for bringing together the best and appropriate characteristics to class multi-functional watches. Omega Moon phase is one of only watches that exude style and functionality. Later models have a manual winding chronograph indicating the date and the actual moon phase.

The first Omega Moon Phase was created in 1985. Omega Edition Moonwatch, then, is made of stainless steel and has functions that are controlled by buttons that are in the top left of the box. In 1986, Moonwatch line has been improved and built with titanium casing. Another issue was created in the same year but in the case of titanium and gold with white dial. Today, these first three issues have been considered because of limited vintage pieces known at that time.

Later Omega MOONPHASE editions have been developed to be more elegant and striking. Like any other Omega watches, Moonwatch are scratch resistant, resistant to water, and anti-reflective properties. Apart from its biggest moon phase indicator, the variety of line colors, black, white, and silver, gives the user the option of choosing the that matches you.

In some editions Moonwatch Omega, the watch is inlaid with precious stones like diamonds and sapphire crystals on the case. Omega watches MOONPHASE also come in stainless steel or leather straps and fixed tachymeter bezel. These features make the line of Omega Moonwatch more different and distinctive look.

In 2009, Omega launched its 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Moonwatch in platinum. A 18K gold engraved caseback, as the second sub-dial, symbolizing the success of 1969's mission landing. Omega Watches MOONPHASE because of its classic style and functionality has been used by astronauts in their space exploration and travel. Some of the notable astronauts Omega watches have taken are Neil Armstrong, Jim Irwin, and Ron Evans.
