Earrings Amethyst

The use of heavy earrings?

Tomorrow I go to theater with my husband and then go to a party later. I bought a beautiful pair of earrings amethyst but are heavy. I really want to take them tomorrow, but I'm afraid of damaging the ears. Is there anything I can get on short notice to help? They are backless earrings, would help if I slipped on some land from them? Anyone have any advice?
